More Springtime Reflections
March 30, 2009

Fallen pear blossom petals
Like never-melting snowflakes
Line the curbs and seem to settle
In the lane's forgotten corners.
The sweet scent of new-mown grass
Permeates sunset senses.
Placid pond as still as glass,
Raging waves of yesterday,
As blustering winds swept past
Echo no more through the trees,
Stir no longer this smooth pool.
Replaced by quiet breezes
As March settles into silence
And like the gentle lamb she leaves.
Mirrored streaks of radiance,
Flames of color etch water.
Breathing soft into a trance,
We behold this perfect scene
Unfolding wings of Nature's dance.
